BC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES TEAM BC ROSTER AHEAD OF NATIONAL WOMEN'S U18 CHAMPIONSHIP

For Immediate Release

September 23, 2025

Saanichton, B.C. – BC Hockey is excited to announce the roster for our Program of Excellence’s (POE) Women's U18 Team BC for the 2025 National Women's U18 Championship.

Team BC will be looking to maintain their success after two bronze medal finishes in 2023 and 2024 at the 2025 National Women's U18 Championship when they take the ice in Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, from November 2-8, 2025.

"The skill level of each player made selecting Team BC a difficult task," Said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey's Program of Excellence. "We are eager to see the team compete and represent B.C. and Yukon on a national level this fall and look forward to watching them develop as athletes."

The final roster consists of two goaltenders and 18 skaters from across British Columbia and Yukon. The full roster can be viewed on the Program of Excellence page on the BC Hockey website.

There are four players returning from the team that took home bronze at the 2024 National Women's U18 Championship in Quispamsis, New Brunswick: Raeya Mackie, Tiani Makokis, Cameryn Shiels and Kennedy Sisson.

Team BC will be led by head coach Melanie Jue. She will be joined by assistant coaches Kelsey Firkus and Mikaela Reay along with video coach Allan Russell, athletic therapist Chelsea Travis, equipment manager Jen Collins, and strength & conditioning coach Travis Martell.
