BC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES TEAM BC ROSTER AHEAD OF WHL CUP

Saanichton, B.C. – BC Hockey is happy to announce the roster for our Program of Excellence’s (POE) Men's U16 Team BC for the 2025 WHL Cup.

Team BC will travel to Red Deer, Alberta in hopes of hoisting the WHL Cup. The final roster consists of two goaltenders, seven defenders, and 11 forwards from across British Columbia. The full roster can be viewed on the Program of Excellence page on the BC Hockey website.

"The WHL Cup is a highly anticipated tournament every year as it shows the dedication and talent of players from B.C. and Yukon," said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence. "We eagerly anticipate watching those selected to Team BC compete and continue to develop on this exciting stage".

Following traditional WHL Cup format, Team BC will be competing against provincial teams from Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The players will vie for the top spot while showcasing their skills on the ice.

Team BC will be guided by head coach James Pollock, assistant coaches Dan Cioffi and Jackson Playfair. The Team BC support staff includes video coach Matt Revel, athletic therapist and strength and conditioning coach Bob Pond, equipment manager Glen Klassen.

The 2025 WHL Cup tournament dates, schedule and additional information will be released by the Western Hockey League in the near future.
